The worst salon experience ever!! Save your money and time. Please any salon in America is better than this dump.
I used to go to this shop once a year for a cut. My hair was always done nice. It's been a while since I've gone. I took my daughter in about three months ago,and it was bad. I asked for a ponytail. She had a 11am appt. and at 1pm they were still working on it. It came out very sloppy, I was really disappointed.
I was referred here by a friend..BIGGEST MISTAKE I have ever made. When I 1st arrived, everyone was nice and welcoming. The stylist was very nice and personable. I simply got a shampoo, blow dry and curl (The same exact service my friend got). My hair turned out, just ok, I was done withing an hour and a half. I have not recieved a perm since mid January, and this was now March. I usually go to the domincans, so therfore I do not need a perm every month. My roots were'nt as straight as I would have liked them to be, but I wasnt expecting it either. She curled my hair with the cast iron curlers(The ones you use on the stove). She sprayed lots of holding spray, because she knew that I was going out that night, and wanted it to last... I walked up to the front expecting to pay $40- the price my friend paid two days earlier. After the owner showed the receptionist how to charge me for this, that and a 20% discount...my total was $80!!!! I looked at both of them like they were crazy. The owner was very rude, and unprofessional. She insisted that I was natural, and therfore I had to pay an extra $$. She said my iron curls were considered "a spiral set", which was $75. I only had $60, after arguing with her, for assuming that I was natural, she allowed me to pay $60. I left highly upset, because I didnt tip my stylist, who was very good. I went back to tip her, and to get an explaination. She was so rude, and un professional. She continued to argue that there was a price for relaxed hair, and natural hair. I told her over and over...just because I havent recieved a perm in two months, DOES NOT MAKE ME NATURAL! I was heated. I left, tipping my stylist and leaving unhappy. Brand new shop in the neighborhood, trying to help my people out, but they are over priced, and too unprofessional for me. I'm going back to the domincans, where I can be satisfied and treated with respect! This shop is beside the Dominoes...what the heck am I paying for???
Lovvvveee the cutting edge hair spa ... Staff always professional and curteous. The senior stylist Donita is the Bomb!!! Whatever I want she creates just like that and most times I'll say work your magic and she does just that... My hair is always flawless and last for weeks. I've been going here for a few years now, and I don't let everyone touch my hair so when I tell you this stylist is the best at what she do, I Mean it...!!! Thanks Cutting Edge for never disappointing me☺️
I beg you, please save your money, and go to a quality salon that knows what they are doing, and how to cut and style hair. Because this salon needs a lesson or two. This place needs to be shut down. Now wonder this salon is always empty.
The WORST!!! Beware! I got a hair cut from the "senior stylist." Boy was that a mistake. The cut was uneven and VERY sloppy. I left with my hair at its driest. She didn't part my hair just chopped chopped chopped away with no measurements and no style. This salon has to be the worst in the DMV. All that for $106 with a 10% discount???? Will never go here again.
I showed her a picture of a style I wanted that needed at least an inch or more of hair to accommodate. Her dumbass cut my hair to the scalp.
